Product description

„We Dance on Noah's Bloody Rainbow“ is a play by South African playwright Monageng Motshabi, which was created by the Berlin theater collective Black Label adapted and directed by Lara-Sophie Milagro.

This special film screening is aimed at people aged 12 and above and offers a sensitive yet powerful introduction to topics such as Black history, identity, memory, and resistance. We dance on Noah's bloody rainbow uses powerful images and poetic language to visualize experiences of violence, hope, and a collective vision of the future.

On the occasion of the Black History Month the screening creates a space in which Black history is understood not only as the past, but as a living present and future. The film ties in with global Black narratives and invites viewers, especially in Berlin – a city with diverse diasporic communities and a complex colonial history – to engage in debate. Berlin becomes a resonance chamber: a place of migration, political activism, art, and ongoing struggles for visibility and justice.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with Lara Sophie During this discussion, participants have the opportunity to ask questions about the film, its themes, and its creation. The Q&A offers a safe space for exchange, in-depth discussion, and personal perspectives—moderated in an age-appropriate manner and open to different experiences.

An offering that uses film as a space for education and experience—for listening, empathizing, and thinking together in the spirit of Black History Month.
