But who tells the stories of the people who lived in the GDR as Black contract workers, students, or activists? On this bike tour, we’ll explore East Berlin from the perspectives of people of color and visit well-known sites such as the World Time Clock, the Karl Marx statue, and the East Side Gallery, learning how they were connected to the lived realities of contract workers from Mozambique and international solidarity networks.
