The running route passes historically significant locations associated with Black history, colonialism, and anti-racist struggles. At two selected stops give Desta - Decolonial city tour Short, easily accessible inputs about the places we find ourselves in. These impulses create connections between urban space, its history, and current social issues.

The City Run is being created in Collaboration with various clubs, initiatives, and running groups like Deschoolonize and thrives on the diversity of perspectives involved. The focus is not on performance or speed, but on being together, listening, and making visible stories that are often overlooked in public spaces.

The run is open to everyone—regardless of age, fitness level, or running experience. Whether running, jogging, or walking, all participants are invited to be part of this collective moment of remembrance and movement.
