Open painting meeting for children (age recommendation 5-10 years)
The afternoon begins with an open painting session inviting children aged 5 to 10 to creatively design coloring books about Black people in the Weimar Republic! Published by „deSta-Dekoloniale Stadtführung“, these coloring books bring history to life by encouraging learning and remembrance. Children discover inspiring Black personalities who lived in Germany - courageous artists, activists and pioneers. In a child-friendly and creative way, they tell the often forgotten stories of Black people in Germany from the Weimar Republic to 1945 - full of courage, strength and hope.
In these books, children meet ten extraordinary personalities such as Martin Dibobe, Josefa Boholle and Lari Gilges, who went their own way and made history despite discrimination.
