Are you Queer and a Person of Color? It can sometimes feel overwhelming-or even underwhelming-to find spaces that reflect your intersecting identities. Living in or moving to Berlin can feel daunting when searching for activities and spaces that align with your interests, especially as a BiPOC and Queer person. We've created this guide to make your search a little easier.
Below is a list of different places and activities that cater to BiPOC and Queer communities. We hope it gives you some ideas for what to do in Berlin-these spaces can be hard to find in Germany, but they do exist.

OYA is a queer, feminist, and collective-run bar that centers BiPOC experiences. The space is committed to decolonial and Black storytelling. They regularly host events such as parties, quiz nights, and concerts. If you're looking for a cozy spot to unwind after a long day of work or travel, we recommend checking it out.
📍 Mariannenstraße 6, 10997 Berlin (Kreuzberg)
This is a space for intersectional projects for queer, trans, and Black communities. They host workshops, skill-sharing sessions, and events that support empowerment and visibility. Inspired by legendary ballroom culture (think POSE or Paris is Burning), this space continues the tradition of creating safe, expressive, and affirming environments.
We highly recommend visiting.

This collective supports queer refugees and artists, hosting events like the Black and Brown Cabaretwhich features performances by BiPOC trans* and intersex individuals. These shows are not only entertaining but also promote learning, visibility, and cultural celebration.
They also organize events like CareFest and the Whoriental Festival, centering marginalized groups such as refugees, sex workers, and QT*BiPOC communities.
GLADT is an association dedicated to supporting Queer People of Colour, with a strong focus on mental health and community-building. While they primarily offer social counseling, they also host workshops and events aimed at fostering community and well-being. If you're into more relaxed, restorative activities, add GLADT to your travel itinerary. A great way to meet local BiPOC and queer Berliners!
This organization is geared towards the younger Black and Afro-German community. If you're visiting Berlin as a Black person, this is a page worth checking out. They offer events including theater, dance, and community talks/dinners, and are inclusive of queer identities within the Black community.

One of Berlin's oldest and most iconic queer clubs, Schwuz is known for its inclusive, anti-racist ethos and vibrant party scene. It's a must-visit if you want to dance the night away in a space that welcomes all queer identities. Expect a fun mix of pop music and a warm, celebratory atmosphere.

Looking for a chill café with a strong anti-racist, anti-sexist, and queer-safe vibe? K-Fetisch is your spot. Located in Neukölln and close to the canals, it's perfect for grabbing coffee, catching up with friends, reading a book, or just relaxing in a welcoming environment.

Silver Future is a queer-friendly bar that actively creates space for FLINTA+ and BiPOC individuals. They host a range of parties and events tailored to the diverse queer community. An ideal choice if you're looking for a lively evening of drinks, dancing, and community.

Want something different from the typical tourist experience? Our organization offers a unique Black and Queer Feminist Tour of Berlin. It highlights historical and contemporary stories from the Black and queer communities, featuring figures like Audre Lorde, Ika Hügel-Marshall, Queen Nzinga, and May Ayim.
