They all have different phenomena in regards to colonialism and all important aspects in understanding power structures.<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Neocolonialism<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we speak about neocolonialism it refers to the continued economic, political, and cultural dominance of former colonial powers (such as France, Germany, the UK and even the USA) over formerly colonized countries, even after the latter have achieved political independence. This control is often exerted through indirect means rather than direct military or administrative control. This can be very prevalent in things such as the global monetary fund and how the global financial system works, which consistently put sanctions on former colonized countries making it harder to develop economically.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other examples of neocolonialism are:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Political Influence:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where former colonial powers maintain political influence in the governance and policy decisions of former colonies, often through diplomatic pressure, foreign aid, and international organizations.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Cultural Domination:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Cultural influences, such as language, education systems, and media, continue to reflect the norms and values of the former colonial powers, often overshadowing indigenous cultures.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-16 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-614abbea\" data-id=\"614abbea\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7c74e39d elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7c74e39d\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-66 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-73b283d\" data-id=\"73b283d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f4bb8a0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5f4bb8a0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><b>Decolonialism<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decolonialism, more known as decolonization, refers to the process of undoing the legacies of colonialism and striving for the political, economic, and cultural independence of formerly colonized nations. It involves a wide range of strategies to dismantle colonial structures and reclaim indigenous identities and ways of knowing. This includes concepts such as political independence, where there is self-governance in the nation, developing economic self-reliance maybe like a different financial system which isn't controlled by one, western, nation and cultural revival in focusing on the nations languages, culture and tradition with untying them to colonial ideologies\/thinking These are also psychological aspects in having to decolonizing our own minds, habits and behaviors that come from colonial era.
